Dr. Beth Ferris

DVM. Highly recommended holistic and small mammal vet, joined SPAH April 2024.

Dr. Ferris knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from a young age. Originally from Massachusetts, her path led her to Barry University in Miami for undergraduate studies, followed by service with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves during Operation Desert Storm, and ultimately to veterinary school at the University of Florida, where she graduated in 1997. After completing a 14-month internship at Hollywood Animal Hospital, Dr. Ferris returned to Brevard County and has been practicing locally ever since, joining South Patrick Animal Hospital in April 2024. She also spent ten years teaching in the Veterinary Technology program at Eastern Florida State College while continuing to work full time. Her professional interests expanded into integrative medicine, including chiropractic care and acupuncture, with advanced training through Options for Animals and the Chi Institute. Dr. Ferris has a strong passion for rabbit medicine and surgery, dentistry, nutrition, and client education rooted in understanding rather than judgement. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys gardening, cooking, reading, attending Renaissance fairs with her family, and figure skating. She shares her home with her husband, one child, three cats, and one rabbit.

About Us

What is South Patrick Animal Hospital

Our mission is to be the best practice we can be — building genuine, lasting bonds with every client while delivering the highest quality care and education for their pets. We measure our success by happy, healthy patients and clients who feel confident enough to return, share their experience, and send their friends our way.

We envision a practice where client education and real relationships come first, so every pet owner feels informed, supported, and truly cared for. Our goal is simple: to be the kind of veterinary partner you trust for life.

As Brevard's first beachside clinic, dating back to the mid-1960s, we've built our approach around decades of community trust and hands-on experience. We believe strong client relationships and clear education are just as important as clinical skill, so our team takes the time to explain every step of your pet's care. That combination of history, honesty, and heart is what sets us apart.
